Both Digital Guardian and Microsoft customers can extend their data protection policies across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms to safeguard their data against all threats.
Digital Guardian is eager to strengthen its integration with Microsoft to ensure mutual customers can extend their data protection policies across all files, and safeguard their data against all threats, on all major platforms.
Over the last several months Digital Guardian has worked meticulously to bolster its integration with Microsoft’s Azure Information Protection (AIP) and enrich its data loss prevention capabilities.
Both Digital Guardian and Microsoft customers can now use the Microsoft Information Protection SDK to extend file protection across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms. Through both Microsoft’s AIP and Digital Guardian’s rich visibility into file classification and movement, organizations will also be able to securely collaborate, both internally and with outside third parties.
In 2019 joint customers will be able to utilize automated DLP (data loss prevention) capabilities for Microsoft AIP labeling for Office and Acrobat applications.
The news was announced at Ignite, Microsoft’s annual conference for developers and IT professionals, taking place this week Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
The integration builds off Digital Guardian’s existing relationship with the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association, a group of security technology providers that have integrated products with Microsoft's in order to provide users with better protection and detection when it comes to attacks. Digital Guardian has been pleased to be a standing member of the association since it was announced earlier this year.
