Top higher education institutions around the world are offering cybersecurity degrees and research programs for information security professionals looking to further their careers. The following are 82 of the top degree and research programs for cybersecurity studies.
Choosing a university is an important decision for anyone. The rate of change and innovation within the information security/cybersecurity field only serves to make the decision process that much more difficult for students who wish to pursue higher education in security. The good news is that more universities and colleges are offering infosec degree programs than ever before, and many are participating in ground-breaking research ó meaning students have the opportunity to participate in hands-on security research and learning opportunities at many of today's top institutions. What's more, the global shortage of information security talent means that pursuing a degree or research program within the field can be a highly rewarding career move.
To help you decide which infosec program is right for you, we've put together this list of 83 of the best infosec programs from leading universities around the world with programs of study and degree programs spanning cybersecurity, information security, information assurance, and related areas. While these universities and programs aren't ranked in any particular order (they're listed alphabetically), we considered a variety of factors to create this list of 83 exceptional universities and degree programs in the information security and cybersecurity fields, including on-campus research initiatives, professional designations and certifications, programs of study and degree programs offered, cost and scholarship opportunities, and partnerships/affiliations. Of course, not every university or program is the best choice for every student; thus, this list is intended to represent many of the leading institutions offering educational programs in these specialized fields of study that we think are worth your consideration.
This list has been updated to reflect new programs and other information for 2019. Tuition and cost data represents information currently available at the time of this writing, but is subject to change as universities may update tuition and fees information annually. Please also note that the tuition rates listed may not reflect all applicable university charges, such as room and board, books, and other admission fees. Please consult the admissions department for any university you're interested in for accurate and complete tuition and fees schedules. To make this list easy to navigate, the selected universities and colleges are listed in alphabetical order. If you're just beginning to consider information security or cyber security programs, this list is an excellent place to begin your search.
