Guess the value of your data on the dark web, get tips to protect your data, and more as we celebrate Data Privacy Day 2018.

Just because Data Privacy Day, a holiday designed to promote awareness and data protection best practices, fell over the weekend, doesn’t mean we can't celebrate today and all week long.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Data Privacy Day in the U.S. and Canada. In Europe the holiday initially commemorated the signing of Convention 108, an international treaty that protects the right to privacy of individuals. To this day, as the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) notes, it's still the only binding international legal instrument with a worldwide scope of application in the field of data privacy, open to any country, including countries which are not Members of the Council of Europe.

To celebrate 2018’s Data Privacy Day, Digital Guardian has put together a game where users can try to guess how much their data's worth on the dark web. Some forms of data may be worth more or less than you'd expect.

Users can also peruse our Data Privacy Checklist and review tips and tricks to better protect their data.

Digital Guardian is proud to be a Data Privacy Day #PrivacyAware Champion. Head to our Data Privacy Day page to learn more!
